Enslaved by Italian Jesuits conducting missionary work in Japan in the 16th century, Yasuke caught the eye of Nobunaga Oda (The Most Powerful Warlord In Japan). Oda believed Yasuke to be either a guardian demon or "Daikokuten," a god of prosperity usually represented by black statues in temples. He is the first person of African Ancestry to earn the rank of Samurai and Oda's personal bodyguard. Yasuke was highly regarded for his skills in battle until Oda's defeat. Oda ended his own life to avoid losing his honor by performing the ritual "sepukku." Yasuke was held captive by Oda's enemies and released back to the Jesuits. No documentation exists of what happened to Yasuke afterwards.

I learned many lessons on my own that I wish I could of been taught sooner. Though I'm still learning daily, my family especially Psalm learns together and collectively implements immediately.
I learned that leading by example is what sticks.
The most important lesson this week has been steeped in living your truth unapologetically and honoring what enables you to do it fearlessly.

While her husband wavered in publicly speaking out against the Vietnam War, having been attacked severely for his early criticisms of US military escalation, Coretta Scott King remained steadfast in her public opposition to the war.
Late in 1965, when her husband backed out of an address to a Washington, DC, peace rally, she kept her commitment to speak. Following her appearance, a reporter asked Martin if he had educated his wife on these issues. He replied: “She educated me.” #BlackLove Day is FEBRUARY 13TH... 24 hours to honor and show love in action thru 5 Tenants: Love of the Creator

You clearly didn't read the post. It's about Coretta. We all know what he did, however she chose to stand by him with. Should she not be celebrated because he was unfaithful?
