What is our Privacy Policy?  

Melanated People Incorporated and its family of affiliate and subsidiary entities believe in your right to privacy. This policy describes what information we collect, use and share. Regardless of the platform the user uses to provide, or the manner in which it was provided. Inclusive of all information collected, used, transmitted, disclosed, stored, or maintained by us, our partners, and other third parties, including both electronic and paper records. This includes but is not limited to: information across our websites, SMS, APIs, email notifications, applications, buttons, widgets, ads, commerce services, and our other covered services that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”). 

“We” or “Us,” in this policy refers to the controller of your information under this policy. 

What information we collect and how it is used?  

When using any of our services you consent to the collection, transfer, storage, disclosure, and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. This includes any information you choose to provide that is deemed sensitive under applicable law. 


We collect information at the formation of any account, whether personal or professional. This would include: first name, surname, gender, birthday, email address and you may provide contact number.  You may also provide, but are not limited to, your social media websites URL’s, a list of interest, a description of yourself.  


When you use our services, we collect information. This provides details on how you use our products and services. We use that information to provide you with products and services, to maintain security amongst the Melanated People community, and to ensure the community upholds a considerate environment for everyone, and our services are more relevant to you. 

Preferences and Settings as provided below but not limited to:  

Purchase and Payment Information 

We may receive information about your transaction. We use the information we collect to provide our products to you and make them better, develop new products, and protect our users. 

Device Information  

User’s provide permission to allow access for the use of these preferences in the Application. These features are used to aid usability of the user’s application.  

Options include but are not limited to:  

Device Modifier which is Users' device Unique Id  

Microphone and Audio 

Access to Camera and Gallery  

Device Advertising ID  

Bluetooth Permission  

Audio Modifier to manage volume of the audio being listened within the app 

Location Information 

You can choose to share your location. Location is used for the purpose of filtering the content across the app based on selected Location, set default location of the app as per the user's requirement, for check-In purpose, create content for any specified location etc 

Usage Information  

We use third-party analytics tools like Firebase to help us measure user traffic for the Service. 

Log Information  

We may receive information when you view content on or otherwise interact with our products and services, even if you have not created an account or are signed out. This information can include: IP address and browser type, demographic data and if you arrived at our Website via a link from a third-party site, the URL of the linking page, etc. 


We may use both session cookies, which expires when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which stay on your browser until deleted, to provide you with a more personalized experience on the app and community. 

Note that disabling cookies on your mobile device or browser may prevent us or our business partners from tracking your browser’s activities in relation to the Service. However, doing so may disable many of the features available through the Service. 


We may receive information about you from other sources. This information could include, but is not limited to, the user User Token, User ID associated with your account or any information that you have permitted the third party to share with us, and any information you have made public in connection with that third-party service. Information will be saved as Encrypted form. 

We are not liable for the privacy practices or content of such external websites and applications operated by third parties. 

The information may include the web pages you visit, your browser add-ons, and other information that assists us in improving the Service. 

When we share information?  

When you post public updates, anyone can view them. Profile name and photo are public. Other areas, when consent is provided, that your information may be public include: 

  1. Information shared with other services (like Facebook or Twitter).

Consented to: link to your account to those services or publish your activity to them.  

  1. If we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety, rights, or property of the public, any person; or to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues. 
  2. If we engage in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganization, or similar transaction or proceeding that involves the transfer of the information described in this Policy. 

We might also share aggregated or non-personally identifiable information with our partners or others who are linked with our Services. 

How are your advertisements tailored to your experience?  

Advertisement are displayed across the app though our internal community ads. We may share your personal identifiers and commercial information with advertising partners that use various technologies to send (or serve) relevant ads to users on our platform, or on platforms or websites operated by third parties. Targeting is voluntary and may be removed from the users profile at the users discretion. 

How the payment processor service works?  

We do not have a native Payment Process within the app. Payment are processed through the desktop view. No payment account information is collected or stored from platforms including but not limited to Paypal, Venmo, CashApp, Credit / Debit Card details etc. The details added by the user while making the payment are only saved by the respective Payment Methods (which are the third party) like PayPal , Venmo, CashApp, PayU Money, etc. 

How do you use your rights over your account?  

Users have the right and access to delete their Account. If done so, all the relevant data collected and stored would be permanently removed. In addition, you agree that we are not responsible and do not control any third parties that have previously been granted authorize to collect or store your user content or related data.  

If you are using a third-party website or service and you allow such a third party to access your user content, you do so at your own risk. The policy upon deletion of an account applies only to information collected and stored by our Services. 


Our goal is to give you simple and meaningful choices over your information. Within your account, most of your choices and rights are directly in the product or your account settings. This includes but is not limited to:   

  1. Access to change the information in your profile page 
  2. Link or unlink your account from an account on another service (e.g., Facebook or Twitter). 
  3. Choose whether or not to publish your activity on to that service. 
  4. 4. Change whether your location or other data is shared with us.

What are the rights of a minor? 

Except where otherwise indicated, we do not knowingly collect or store any personal Information from children under the age of 17. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child under the age of 17 has provided us with information without his or her consent, he or she should contact us at As required by law, we will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time. 

How do we make changes to our Privacy Policy?  

We reserve the right to make changes this policy as deemed necessary. Any changes will post to this page. All users assume commitment to current policy as communicated in present and any revised publish version. Changes that your consent is required by applicable law may be provided in a more prominent notice with, and may require your direct acknowledgement in writing or otherwise deemed necessary.

If you’re a user or visitor in the European Economic Area these rights also apply to you. We are compliant with the appliance of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679) Compliance.

Additional Terms 


When the user saves files through the Mobile Apps like Images, Videos, Audios, it gets stored in the internal storage / Gallery of the Device. 


Only users with login passwords can access the password-protected areas of Melanated People Social. The user identity shall be provided by us while the user shall define the login password, which shall be encrypted and stored on the server. We strongly recommend that the password is retained confidential.
