Closing out the month of my 9 year locversary. I don't even have any install pictures. Didn't think take them. That's 9 years of growth, experience, trauma, heartache, the loss of so many people. I have a mini rope of loc babies that have broken off. Never thought it was important to repair them.
I have no grid, not a single part. My son snatched one out when he was a baby. One of my mini trees broke off when my little brother transitioned. My hair isnt uniform. Its bumpy, I still have curly ends all over that never buddies on the bottom. I started out interlocking with around 450 babies. Ive combined so many intentionally and not so intentionally. Now I twist my babies, and there are much less to do. I have mini trees all over. I get a little jealous of neat microlocs and sister locs sometimes. But my crown tells a story. And when I look at the journey in the strands, I realize how blessed these last 9 years have been. Ending in the 9th month where I turned 39 on 9/9.
