I’d like to introduce you to Darren J. Beattie, who was tapped by Marco Rubio on Monday to serve as the acting undersecretary for public diplomacy and public affairs. (In an acting role, no Senate confirmation is required.)
In October 2024, our illustrious appointee made a post on X. I took the screenshot below less than 15 minutes ago; his hateful rhetoric is still up and visible for all to see.
The man who wrote this will be managing public diplomacy outreach, developing foreign policy initiatives, and overseeing both the Educational and Cultural Affairs and Global Public Affairs bureaus.
