I’ve been thinking a lot about how generational trauma shows up in our community. It’s wild how many of us still carry the fear of owning land, or even the thought of building something together. Somewhere along the way, we were taught that land wasn’t for us, that it only brings struggle, loss, or pain.
But I’m realizing that fear has been holding us back. Land is freedom. Land is food. Land is security. Land is legacy.
I want to see us breaking those chains , buying land together, starting homestead co-ops, building businesses, creating spaces our kids can inherit. We don’t have to keep repeating the same cycle.
I’m choosing to unlearn that fear. To believe that we deserve to build together. To believe that what our ancestors dreamed of is possible for us right now. 🌱✊🏾
