Frederick (1707-1751) son of king George II of Britain and Caroline of Ansbach. When he was seven his parents left him behind in Germany to be raised by his grand uncle and tutors. In 1728 a year after his father became king of Great Britain and fourteen years after his parents left him he went to England. Frederick was said to be high spirited, a drinker, gambler, and a lover of women. Due to the resentment he had for his parents he setup a rival court, gaining friendships, and political opponents that rivaled his father. In 1736 Frederick married princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha who bore him George III. (future king) He would go on for the remainder of his life having a tumultuous relationship with his father.
