Did right for
His own people

And he got killed….

Have you noticed
Every time
A black revolutionist did somethin
Against the colonial system, death penalty
Is their punishment?

Have you always noticed?
I noticed…
If it’s a white leader
Who saved his people,
he lives, he doesn’t die…
Maybe a slap on the wrist
Or not…

It’s not fair…

Out of all the great black leaders
Who tried to burn the system down
And got killed
And John is on the list
John Chilembwe
Leader who has the same exact idea
About bringin black unity to life…
And he got killed…

White folks
Say we must kill him
He must not breathe….
In a Cold War…

You wonder why
Public schools don’t teach
Black revolution leadership
Cos they’re afraid of
Black children gettin ideas
Of defendin themselves
Thinkin for themselves
And have pride for their own race
Also goin against the system….

White supremacy
Be like
No no we can’t have that….
They can’t learn about
John Chilembwe
Unless they have whitewashed him into
Their own narrative…

Let me tell you
About the black leadership
That you need to keep in mind
If you wanna learn about
Great heroes who go against the
System
White supremacy will erase
The truth
They will lie
And tell their versions to keep
Black people asleep..to make them
Think we didn’t defend ourselves…
It’s been a trick for a long time…

They do intentionally

So if people come across
John Chilembwe
Or not, I would suggest they need
To do their own research for
Themselves…
