If it’s our own day
Don’t let it be capitalized
No commercialized…
Please don’t ask for the government
To make it a federal holiday
Like Juneteenth…
There’s no need to prove
White people
That we can love, too
Respectfully…..

Black love
Is for us
Us only….
Meanin we don’t have
To share love
Towards other races….

Honestly
I think we need to
Practice lovin
Ourselves
Lovin each other
Not just on the 13th…

And if someone ask
The government to make
Black love a thing
I’m not goin to celebrate it….
Cos there’s money involve….
It’s goin to be publicist colonized
And it won’t have a personal meanin
To us anymore….just like Kwanzaa
It used to be personal and deep
Now it’s all about the profits…
