I don't see the point in this, why not just change the age of the amber alert? Not like there's gonna be a special awareness if the missing person is black but, oh well.
California has issued the first “Ebony Alert”. A new missing alert system for missing black people.
The California Highway Patrol has the authority to activate this new emergency alert system, which notifies the public of missing Black youth and women ages 12 to 25.
Unlike the Amber Alert which can only be used for children younger than age 18, the Ebony Alert is broader and can be used to help locate young people between the ages of 12 and 25, including those that are considered runaways and those that are subject to human trafficking.
