I remember learning about theft by "fashion designers" as a young man, and emptying my closet, and boycotting numerous brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Timberland... only wearing Black designers. Plus there was a African Brother at Mart 125 across from the Apollo Theater who made traditional African clothing. Beautiful, quality wears. I would show up at weddings, and stuff, and would be treated as a King/dignitary. There was also a leather worker who made me some shoes (moccasins), a zooboo (Wing Chun punching (focus) bag, and a Native American vest. Certainly we can affordably clothe ourselves..
