Til end of your days…
You’re a writer, correct?
So you keep holdin your pen
Like you got somethin to say..
Then say it…
Don’t be fuckin scared
Go ahead
Keep your pages…
And write what your soul is
Sayin…
Let all your feelings and thoughts
Come down like gorgeous rain…
I promise
Everythin is goin to become a rainbow
Cos somebody’s heart is goin to feel warm….
Words are powerful
Words are magic
And we writers make people to fall in love…
To make our readers drop in line….
Please
Please whatever you do, my friend
Don’t ever put your pen down…
Don’t ever, ever ever…
I feel like Smokey from Friday….
Cos you got a message that needs to
Tumble out of your heartbeat…
You need to share pieces of yourself
To the world…you know what makes writers
Real special in my opinion,
Their honesty..
And honesty can hurt someone at times
It depends on what it is…
I do my best to stay honest
When it comes to the subjects
Like racism, black people, real love between
Two people…
It’s the honesty that makes the audience to
Turn away…no matter how hard it gets…
They don’t wanna pay attention to certain important things
They stay on the side of ignorance…
And writers be like, “never mind.”
Still don’t put your pen down
Don’t put it on the table
Don’t put it away
Unless you’re takin a break
Unless you’re finished with a piece…

Just don’t.
Stretch your hand out
With your thumbs…
Only put it down when you’re done
Usin your voice for the day or for the night…

Don’t let anyone tell you to tell
You to put that pen down….
You’re a writer
Keep your pen in your hand
When you got somethin in your guts
