Cut off

Every time a black person express
His or her experience and talk about racism
White folks cut off the discussion, they would tell
Black people to shut up in a polite manner or in the meanest
Way….the reason why white folks cut black people off real quick
Cos they don’t wanna go down the guilt trip….they knew exactly what
Their ancestors did to our own people…they’re benefitin from that….
And you know history keeps repeatin itself…..why do you think African American history
Ain’t allowed to be in the classroom? Cos we have to coddle white students’ feelings….

When we have a conversation about racism, white supremacy,
We get interrupted, we get overtalked…we get the token black friends
To shush us…yet racism is always be the elephant….will always be the elephant in the room….
So If I go up at an open mic and spill out a piece about racism…all the truths pour like heavy raindrops….would I get interrupted? I’m thinkin about a scenario in my head…
Cos black people get stopped from tellin everyone how we feel, how we experience…
It’s like we ain’t allowed to be human….we ain’t allowed to be angry…

Keep sayin skin color doesn’t matter…keep sayin I don’t see color…the fact white supremacy makes a
Large deal about skin color….what the fuck is The world talkin about? The world be fakin like there’s no such thing as systemic racism….they pretend that oppression doesn’t exist…sweetie, it does exist.
It’s everywhere. It’s why black people should be way too angry to get rid of whole system…get it off the planet….

Don’t cut us off…y’all need to stay guilty, to stay uncomfortable cos we will always mention our experiences, and how we deal with racism everyday….it’s another way to fight for our lives…
