Born in Cameroon and now a professor at the University of the Free State in South Africa, Atangana has pioneered various mathematical concepts that are now used to model real world problems in the fields of engineering, science and technology.

He is the top-ranked scientist of applied mathematics, mathematical physics, mathematics, and statistics in the world, and ranked 260th in all of science, technology, and engineering in the Stanford University World’s Top 2% Scientists list.
