#meanwhile ...in New York
In Brooklyn, a cyclist was sucker-punched by a pedestrian during a roadside altercation, resulting in broken glasses and an abandoned bike. The incident occurred after a verbal exchange escalated, and the assailant was last seen at the Atlantic Avenue Barclays Center subway stop. Heres what he had to say:
“FYI. I’m totally fine. This happened Tuesday after the eclipse. Lesson is: if you’re gonna run your mouth don’t turn your head away and put your guard up. Or better yet don’t engage. I’m still trying to learn that lesson. Context: I was on my bike looking for my event to work and rode in front of him and he didn’t like it. It turned into a somewhat normal NY verbal altercation. He then sucker punched me as I went back to google maps on my phone. My glasses broke I was blind, I left my bike on the ground unlocked to walk towards him as I was deciding what to do next. Flustered, I didn’t see any cops and decided to let it be. If you see this guy at Atlantic Ave stop in Brooklyn, Let me know. Also my fault be I like drama. Cheers!”
