SUSPECTED CHILD PREDATOR PULLS GUN ON OFFICERS!


Backstory: The Seattle Police Department
(SPD) stated that officers from its Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force came to the hotel around 3:15 p.m. on April 17, 2024 to make an arrest as part of an investigation. The 67-year-old suspect arrived at the hotel to meet two young girls, ages 7 and 11.

When officers went to arrest the suspect, SPD Deputy Chief Eric Barden said the man pulled out a firearm and “a struggle ensued.”

Two SPD officers fired rounds at the man, striking him, Barden said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials at the scene said a Seattle officer was grazed by a bullet on their leg during the shootout with the man.
