FDA says it found bird flu in milk
The FDA said yesterday that it found fragments of the bird flu virus in samples of pasteurized milk, less than a month after a bird flu outbreak was found in dairy cows.
What to know : The FDA said pasteurized milk is still safe to drink. “Pasteurization is likely to inactivate the virus” but not remove viral particles, the agency said. The FDA is waiting for more accurate test results to be certain. [NBC News]
