Nigerians have taken to the streets in two days of protests over the high cost of living in the country.

The West African nation has seen a massive spike in food prices, with inflation reaching nearly 30%, leaving millions struggling to afford food.

Our reporters went to different parts of Nigeria where they spoke to protesters who say that they have “suffered enough”.

In 2023, President Bola Tinubu scrapped a costly subsidy causing the price of fuel to triple.

He also devalued the Nigerian currency - the naira - prompting a hike in the price of imports. Some of the protesters are calling for the opening of food storage silos to mitigate the situation.”
