Rise Up This Mornin, Smile With The Risin 🌞
In the Serra da Capivara in Brazil, bearded capuchins live in a harsh, dry forest where the dry season can last up to seven months. These capuchins, especially mothers with newborns, need water to produce milk.
They make a difficult journey from the cliffs to the forest floor, seeking water hidden in tree trunks, left over from the last rains. By using sticks and their tails as sponges, they extract this precious water.
This problem-solving ability helps them endure the long, hot, dry months.
