REPOST: The only time in history, the kkk called for a truce, was with the 'Deacons for Defense', a defacto pro civil rights security force in Jonesboro, Louisiana, in 1964. The group was comprised 100% of armed Black men who served in the Korean War. These Korean War Vets were trained killers, and killed many kkk members in La. during armed confrontations. The group was formed to protect civil rights meetings, and churches from klan attacks, lynchings, and bombings. Subsequently, many chapters of the DFD were formed throughout the Jim crow south. WHEREEVER THESE BROTHERS POSTED, THERE WERE ZERO ATTACKS CONDUCTED AGAINST ANY BLACK EVENTS/MEETINGS.

Eventually the FBI stepped in. The only question J.E. Hoover asked of the DFD leadership, who was supplying the group with guns? The groups were ultimately forced to disband to preserve the so-called natural order of things? There is a movie made starring Forrest Whittaker that chronicles the challenges, and triumphs of this Black Organization. 'DEACONS FOR DEFENSE'.
