My heart is on cue
When I look at you….
For some reason
My heart starts to
Perform a symphony
A symphony of beats

It doesn’t have to do that…
It doesn’t…
These feelings are like seizures
In a good way…
But I don’t wanna feel shattered…

Cos some things might happen
And I’m afraid…
Even future disappointments
Are ignored, rejection stands by
I move myself away….

I knew I would,

My heart is on cue
For a reason…
I can be love blinded
That’s a fact…
All those butterflies
In my tummy…
Let them flow…

I don’t want tears…
I don’t wanna get crushed….

I just wanna feel you
To fall in love with you
Without pain
And I want you to feel me
Too…

Am I too heavy?
Too strong?

My heart is on cue
It sings a loud lyric in the room
Can you hear it?
Can you tell?
The way my expression
Speaks too much volume
In a moment, or by a second…

Sometimes
There’s nervousness
Then calm….

My heart is on cue
In my chest
Lullin poetry to your presence
While we’re still
While we’re in a bit of awkward silence…

Cloud nine space
You could say that….

Maybe I should keep
My situation to myself
A secret…
Cos you could be
Uncomfortable
For all I know….

You could friendzone me
Real quick
And I have to understand that…

My heart is on cue,
I should be on cue
To stop this feeling
I just never know
If you don’t feel the way I do…
