When will the senseless violence stop? Today a postal worker named Octavia Redmond was shot and killed while delivering mail in Chicago.

At around 11:30 a.m., authorities responded to the 12100 block of South Harvard on the report of a person shot. According to police, first responders rushed the 48-year-old victim to Christ Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The alleged shooter fled in a vehicle westbound on 121st St. police added. No one is in custody.
