Jim Crow Is Resurrected in Mississippi - How Did We Let This Happen?

A bill was passed earlier this month by white representatives in the Mississippi House, which proposes the formation of a new district that encompasses all the predominantly white neighborhoods in Jackson, the capital city of Mississippi, where 83% of the population is Black. This would entail the establishment of a criminal justice system for the district, which would be governed by a white-dominated power structure.
