Angela Bassett is heavily known for her ability to shapeshift in every role that she is in and express immense emotion. She is also known for her incredible portrayal and breakthrough role as none other than Tina Turner herself in the 1993 film What's Love Got to Do with It. She has also portrayed other powerful black women such as Rosa Parks and Betty Shabazz. Next week we'll be cheering her on and wishing her nothing but the best as she heads to The Academy Awards® for her Best Supporting Actress nomination for her portrayal of Queen Ramonda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the sequel to the culture shifting marvel movie Black Panther. Miss Angela Bassett did the thing and continues to do so with every role that she touches.
