Nothin is good about me
I’m too dark
I’m a monkey….
I don’t like what god gave me…
I don’t like what I was born with…
Every time I look in the mirror
All I see is that I am a white person…

There’s a commercial I saw on
Television, I was amused…
It’s skin bleach…
It’s cheap…
I’m goin to buy it…

And I’m goin to use it for
My benefits…
For the society to accept me….
To get a man who can fall in love with me
It would boost my self esteem….

People are tellin me
Don’t bleach your skin
It’s bad for you
I don’t listen….
Being lighter and whiter
Gets more opportunities….

All I have to do
Is to be a white woman
With straight hair
And blue eyes
I would encourage
My friends to do the same….
