Honest Convo:
Latinos around the world, just as Africans (Black), have colorism and classism issues. There are many Afro-Latinos, BlAsian and other mixes that identify and connect with the Black Diaspora. For individuals of that sect there is inner-turmoil when it comes to dealing with race issues that involve both sides.
No, it is not hard to see and denounce the blatant atrocities that happen but its hard when they hit a lil closer to home. The Indigenous Owned Slaves, Africans helped trap and kill Indigenous people. Today it is more like a Latin King killed a Crip. MS13 killed a Blood.
I can't and wouldn't speak for a collective of people, I am not that great. With all confidence I proclaim Afro-Indigenous as how I see myself. I understand the Cradle of Life lies in the Heart of Africa. I honor the Taino (Arawak/Carib) Indigenous culture and Heritage. Though, born in America I have seen Latinos shit on Blacks and vice versa which is difficult.
Is there a solution?
