For 236 years, whiteness has been the leading and determining factor in the elections. So WHY did we think it was going to be different this last election?

Why do we always put ALL of our hopes in a population that popularized lynching in postcards, yet struggled with the idea of making lynching a federal crime just 2 years ago?
