Racial low self esteem
Black people
Have a racial low self esteem…
Sorry to say it….
But it’s true…
I have heard this term before
And I’ve watched in my observation…
I see how we speak inferiority
Towards ourselves for other races
To be comfortable…like we consider
Their feelings but not ours…cos
We continue to believe we’re not
Humans…we still think our humanity
Is not good enough which is sad….
The worst part about it is that
We speak negative towards each other
Like we ain’t shit…we put our own people down
To uplift the other ethnic communities….
We put ourselves only to put a white man on
A pedestal…white supremacy taught us that…
We’re well trained to love white people and their
Whiteness way too much than folks who look like us…
It’s a shame….
How do we stop?
Can we stop?
Can we force ourselves and others to stop?
We need to stop worshippin white race like they’re
Celebrities….
Our low self esteem grows
Way up high even the sky was like
Y’all don’t know how to love yourselves
And y’all are the original people of the earth….
Yes we do have low self esteem as a melaninated nation….
I’m sorry…our souls still carry this hate in our DNA for so long
That we passed it down to our babies…
It’s some of us are goin to therapy
Some of us are breakin generational cycles….
Some of us are healin…
And learnin how to love ourselves….
Put respect and dignity in our bones for good….
And how I wish all black people around the world
Could turn their low self esteem into somethin powerful…
But i don’t think it’s goin to happen…still stuck in their way…..
I would like to say is that self hate and low self esteem is a different type
Of trauma where we keep askin why can we come together?
It’s an inner abuse that keeps holdin us back….
Maybe our genes remember our slaveowners extremely well….
Our ancestors know their endurance….
They tell our hearts about our condition, our harsh positions
Also they had to tell our hearts that they fought back….
I wish rebellion tales could erase all the low self esteem
Away from us…a low self esteem that my black race have….
Colorism doesn’t wash the hurt into the ocean…
It gets worse….
It’s heartbreakin, though
How can we make our low self esteem vanish?
It makes us a mad villain….
How can we stop thinkin and talkin horrible about
Ourselves and others in the black community?
We should work on that….
