My shadow and I
Talk to each other
Sometimes in poems
Or speak loudly
In the middle of
Our silence….

My shadow and I
Cry together
Laugh together
It was simple as that….

I’m not alone
My shadow isn’t either
We keep each other’s
Company….havin deep conversations

About things that gets us goin…
We have secrets nobody knows….

Except us…us women
Who bleeds pain and joy….

We’re a strong women
But I must admit we’re weak….
And we’re humans

Humans who can love
With all our souls
With all our might…..

My shadow and I
Make mistakes
We learn from them
It keeps us growin
And we’re changin the world
From afar….

Our voices will not be banned
By these uncomfortable hearts
Who holds lies so dearly….

We don’t like ignorance
We don’t like like heartache…

My shadow and I,
We just like poems and drawings
To create our own world
Our own safe space
Where kind people can come
And witness the magic
The beauty
The truth
Everythin…

That’s what we do
