I don't think any of you have actually seen a coup or lived through a coup or even know what a coup is so, let me explain : A coup d'état (often just called a coup) is a sudden and illegal overthrow of a government, usually carried out by a small group, such as the military, political factions, or elites within the state. Unlike revolutions, which involve large-scale public movements, coups typically rely on speed and force to take control of key institutions like the government, military, and media.
Coups can be violent or bloodless, and their success depends on factors like public support, military backing, and political stability. Some coups replace one authoritarian regime with another, while others lead to democratic transitions.
That being said, you have witnessed and are living in a coup right now. And so far, it hasn't gotten bloody... yet.
