Nothing to be proud of...but a lot about 'The Wire', 'The Corner', and 'Homicide Life on the Streets' are true. I don't espouse an affinity for the gritty, guttural, tragic instances of violence in 'Bodymore', 'Baldamore'.

The Wire actually hired real people from the streets, 'Little Melvin Williams, Donnie Andrews (the real Omar), Clinton 'Shorty' Buise, Snoop, while filming in real hoods, not created sets. McCullough Homes (towers) was a consistent filming location.
