Lets talk post shtf hunting. We all have our assortment of pew pews and talk about baging deer in the mountians to survive but the truth is unless you have a secure base camp to process and perserve the meat a large kill will mostly be wasted. Truth be told you will be safer off with you simple .22 going for squirels or rabbits as it can be cooked and eaten all in one sitting. Carrying around large amounts of unprocessed meat will only call the predators to you and leaving most of an animal to rot away is how infections spread. Even if you are in groups a cow weighing in at 1400 lbs would be a waste for 10 people on the move. Just one mans opinion but i felt like it was worth sharing. Keep safe my fellow preppers.
