France ЁЯЗлЁЯЗ╖ was against Guinea ЁЯЗмЁЯЗ│ voting to gain independence in 1958. France withdrew over 4,000 Doctors, Teachers, Judges, Technicians and Administrators from Guinea. French Civil Servants in Guinea burnt their files, records, blue prints and manuals to frustrate the civil service. Many French nationals living in Guinea destroyed infrastructure and equipment to weaken Guinea's economy. Most of them relocated out of anger. Guinea's then President Sekou Toure said they preferred poverty in liberty to riches in slavery. 1958 was not too long ago...
