I was asked why I didn't seriously consider South Africa as a retirement destination, here was my answer:
In South Africa, White people who are settlers and just 7.3% of the population owned 70% of land they took forcefully through Apartheid and colonialism, colored owned 15%, Indian and Asian owned 6% whereas Africans (black) who are 81% of the population owned just 5% of the land and others owned 4%.
