Psychological state 
Look how we think 
Look how we behave 
We’re in a minds of 
Whiteness….it’s sick…
We truly bleach our 
Thoughts for good…
We Europeanized our actions 
I heard somebody 
Said we don’t talk about 
Mental health in the black community…
Well why not?
How come?
Our trauma has been passed down 
To generations from slavemasters….
From the colonizers who landed 
Their filthy foot and spread their viruses 
And fleas…we don’t talk about 
Black people actin like white folks 
Enough…do we act like Asians?
We do act like Arabs 
We don’t act like ourselves 
Cos we don’t know who we are…
Somebody has erased our identity 
Through harsh abuse….somebody has 
Rip our mama tongue now we speak 
Somebody’s language….think about that 
For a second…
It took decades 
All the years 
To learn knowledge of self
To gain it fully with compassion…
And we don’t learn about 
Africa in public schools 
They might sugarcoat 
Our histories
They will disrespect 
Our ancestors in the textbooks…
Cos we have to learn about 
Whiteness….accordin to the society 
White is the world’s favorite color….
In their actions…in their other words 
This is why we must acknowledge 
Mental slavery….
How come we think like a white man?
Has anyone questioned this?
Do black kids ask why?
I never asked 
But ever since 
I’ve been observin racism up close 
And from afar….
By now 
I wonder if black people ask themselves 
Or each other 
How come we think like a white man?
I would say slavery 
Colonization 
That’s the only thing I can come with…
A white man planted a seed of 
How he sees himself and us 
Inside our melaninated minds…
Inferiority complex stretches itself into
Our souls while we began that white man
Is holier than thou….god and he’s not 
God…he’s the devil who walked the 
Earth and destroyed indigenous people…
Whitewashin every little thing on the planet….
He abused nonwhites not to stop him from his 
Mass destruction….this is a psychological state 
I’m talkin about…psychological state, has it been studied?
Tragedies does affect the brain….
A memory we learned but it becomes a parrot 
Repeatin repeatin
It’s a psychological state…
Black people are used to it 
Unless some breaks cycles and 
Heal their pain….
