🔥 Markus Renfro, 33, is in custody at the Tarrant County Jail with no bond after being accused of shooting an alleged pedo in the groin on Friday in the 3700 block of Century Place in Fort Worth.

According to family members, Renfro intervened to protect his underage nieces from a man who allegedly approached them offering drugs and soliciting sex. Renfro’s brother-in-law, Dontavius Williams, said the man had reportedly been bothering other children in the area.

Family described the shooting: Words were exchanged, and when the man approached Renfro aggressively as he walked away, Renfro fired. Officers were already in the area responding to prior reports of the suspect soliciting children for sex while possibly under the influence.

The shooting victim was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive.
Renfro’s wife, Jamie Ramirez Renfro, who is 24 weeks pregnant, stated that she believes her husband acted to protect the children and shared her own experience as a survivor of a similar situation.
