When you can, ALWAYS wear a sturdy leather belt, with a solid secure buckle. Not only for fashion reasons, but more importantly:

- as a back up weapon (leaving 6-8" of the buckle end dangling).
- an impromptu wrapped forearm sheath against a blade attack
- A TOURNIQUET to retard loss of blood
- a storage apparatus for a knuckle blade
- Storage for emergency money
