BURKINA FASO RECLAIMS ANOTHER AREA FROM TERRORIST CONTROL AFTER MORE THAN 3 YEARS... Burkina Faso has reclaimed another locality that had reportedly been under the control of armed terrorist groups since January 7, 2023. On August 9, Burkinabè forces retook the area, marking another territorial gain as military operations continue across the country. The return of state control after more than three years represents another step in Burkina Faso’s campaign to recover communities lost to armed groups and restore security for displaced populations.
