AWACS E3A--After college, I worked at a defense contractor in Linthicum, Maryland. At one point in my career, I managed departments that built the high and low chain transmitters, high voltage regulators, high voltage filters, the Voice Communications Systems (VOCOM), the Display Interface Units (DIU), the Data Link Interface Processors (DLIP), and the feed array antenna (in the rotodome).

There is always one of these planes in the air 24/7 monitoring the borders. All of the radar electronics were built in Maryland.
