He was homeless, after being kicked out of his house in the UK. He had lost his brother and grandpa at the time. He got remarried to his Ivorian ex in 2019. He initially broke up with his Ivorian ex, after he moved to Europe. He contemplated suicide. Eboue said his ex wife exploited his illiteracy by giving him papers to sign, knowing he couldn't read them. He asked her to manage their financial affairs and mostly went to the bank with her.
