What I love about writin
Is that I can educate people
Through poetry…I can help to
Wake people up with my poetic voice…
That’s the magic….
I can do forever….

Whatever the subject may be
I can express myself
My heart….
I have strong words
I have deep feelings….

Poetry is like a school lesson
In a way….we poets explain things on
Paper, on the mic…
We open our souls
To the audience
To new readers

They wanna know
If we can relate
Yes we do…

Poets are heroes….
They might be unknown
To today’s society
But, we’re still heroes….
And

We never have to wear capes….

We just got metaphors of hope
And love for humanity that spreads across the planet…
Even if we get the bad name callin,
Even if haters are tryin to put us in our place….

I may not be the best poetess
That goes down in history,
I know I touch somebody’s heart
From afar….
