I still laugh at sheneneh

I still laugh at sheneneh
And I said I’m sorry
I shouldn’t be crackin at
How a black man mocked
A black woman, how he dressed
Up In high heels and actin more
Feminine….

It’s not okay to laugh
At a black man in a dress….
Cos after what happened
Throughout the history
When I learned about
Buckbreakin….buckbreakin isn’t
Supposed to be a joke…

Yet it’s our condition
It’s not an excuse….
Somehow
Honestly
I ain’t goin to lie
Martin did a good job
Portrayin sheneneh
And mrs. Pain…

He played these characters
So well
However
Whenever I’m watchin that show
I see no psychology

Cos

I was being entertained….
When black people watched
Martin
We see no psychology
We don’t think about buckbreakin….

We’re not supposed to
Laugh
At
Black men wearin dresses
But
We do….

And I think about
Dr. Frances Cress Welsing
I don’t think she would laugh….
Cos she knows what the system is doin…
And us the rest of black people

We’re too immature
Laughin at sheneneh
Instead of debunkin the symbolism
And signs of why a black man is wearin
A dress…
Sheneneh was my favorite
Still is, I hate to admit it….

Though I’m still advocatin
For black men not to be in a woman’s clothes

Maybe I should be quiet…
I kind of sound like a hypocrite…
And

I apologize….
For laughin….
Somehow
Jokes and actions can really
Pull our heartstrings
Don’t they?
