I always get my hopes up
When it comes to excitin things
And I'm not alone on this...

People get high expectations
For somethin good
For somethin bad
We fantasize this would be wonderful

Til we realize the disappointment...
Cos we expect too much...
All we want is to enjoy though
We expect a lot, a whole lot...

So don't get your hopes up...
Don't get those high expectations
For somethin from someone who you thought was cool
Especially when it comes to datin, fallin in love
You expect waltzin romance, tender kisses
I have a lot of high expectations for that...

Which isn't good..Cos I always end up
Secretly upset, my heart has been broken..
Yet I do my best to disguise my tears...

We need to stop gettin

Sometimes reality check reminds us
That we can't expect anythin from the people

From the people who ain't really your friends....

We really have to be cautious
I know everythin is possible
However in the real world
We can't always get our way

It's okay to give up

Maybe this time
We should have low expectations
