What’s tragically sad is how the black man that not only discovered and also groomed Tina (and loved her too), but was also the musical director, band leader and founder of the “Ikettes” (Tina’s back-up singers) and their band collectively called “The Ike & Tina Turner Revue”, but all we ever hear about him is how he was a domestic abuser, as though that’s all he ever was. The criminalization and defamation of the black man in ameriKKKa by way of white powered hate and their media.
