I have a challenge for you today black man and woman. I’m not a supporter of referring to “history” as the ONLY source for people to gain information about past experiences and occurrences and I’m going to attempt to demonstrate or “show-to-prove” the reason why I don’t personally and so here’s the challenge. So I’m researching the origin of the “drum” (ie… like a Djembe) and wow, there were a variety of different credits given to different cultures/people other than Afrikans. The credit (based on history) for being the first people to invent the drum are Neolithic cultures originating from China but later spread to all of Asia (it (history) says). In your effort to research you ask the question “When Were Drums Invented?” On one chapter/side of history it says “Artifacts from China suggest that percussionists played drums made from alligator skins as far back as 5500 B.C, and iconography from ancient Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Greek, and Roman cultures show the use of drums in religious ceremonies and cultural gatherings.”
Which kinda sounds weird and strange due to several reasons, one being that, back in 5500 the majority of people on earth were melanin dominant people (blk ppl or there of) no matter where you were on the planet. Another factor to consider is how The Honorable Elijah Muhammad would teach the black man and woman that in ancient times they were thought of and considered as the “Asiatic Black Man /Woman/People” of the planet and even the continental territories were thought of as and considered to be “Asiatic” (East, West, North and South Asia way before they were given the contemporary names they have today). On the other chapter/side of history (🤨🤪) you ask the question “were Afrikans the first to invent the drum” and history will tell you that “ WE DON’T KNOW the drum's exact origins, but HISTORIANS agree that it was invented by the Mandinka (or Maninke) people of western Africa in around 1300 AD.”. So, it seems “history” is either conflicted, they just don’t know or history (or the authors/writers of it) isn’t as reliable/credible as people depend on it to be.
