I am…I don’t wanna celebrate
Juneteenth…Juneteenth is another
Piece of American pie..where it’s been
Commercialized and not so personal…

It’s like why do we gotta share
Our own holidays? With the other
Races.. I know the history…I rather
Not ask the government about

Our black owned celebration
And keep it low key cos if you ask a
White man to recognize this special day,
It’s goin to make profits…at Walmart
Target, all over corporations and then

And i can see black people doin too much
Over the Top like twerkin, wearin hoochie clothes
With no disrespect In themselves…a bad representation

Of ourselves…seein us mockin self hate inside
And how it glows like ugly true colors
This is how we show America…not classy
But ghetto…though this is all for the bag…

White supremacy knows what they’re doin…
Our misbehaviors and ignorance towards ourselves
Is their entertainment…they want that black vote
They want coonin buck and jivin self hate black
People who doesn’t think critically for themselves..

Juneteenth is used to be low key holiday
Til somebody asked to make it more federal
More money in the hand, more money in the
Pockets….

Somebody fought for it and we got it
Though we don’t have reparations
We don’t have the check…
I don’t think we will ever get a check
And unfortunately we’re not forcin them
To repair…..

We should, for real, for real

I don’t believe we want our money
We keep talkin about it
Though we’re not puttin our foot down and
And get violent towards motherfuckers
To give us the money..
We’re not boycottin the capitalism
Either…

Cos our black race isn’t usin their brains
For all of us..
Many of us are stupid..
Many of us don’t care…
Many of us are comfortable
Especially with the systematic racism abuses…

We don’t want the check
I mean we truly do
But we act like we don’t…
Actions speak real loud volumes…

So you can’t say I’m pro black
When I’m studyin a clear picture
Of what it is..
Up close from afar…

I don’t wanna celebrate Juneteenth
Plus the holiday keep addin more lies
And more lies on top I know it was never
Part of school curriculum cos it’s a
Critical Race Theory…

I’m not sure….
I’m not sure about Juneteenth..
Juneteenth is supposed to be our sacred
Day just for us
To reflect to learn..
Now it’s not ours anymore..

It’s just sacred
Til someone asks the white man
If we can celebrate…
I understand everyone needs to know
The past and everythin
Still

It’s suppose to be our culture…
The thing is,
We give it to white people to make money off
Of our backs as usual…
I’m not surprised
We do this all the time and it seems
We don’t keep everythin to ourselves
We wanna share and share and share
Like Juneteenth…

Black people don’t understand
That it’s okay to be racist sometimes
It’s okay to control your own
And say no to other races
We need to practice to
Selfish for us…that’s our issue…

Soon or later
We won’t be able to have a culture
Nor a holiday
Cos every time we create and share
White supremacy makes profit off of
Our workin hands

I’m just tellin the truth…
Even if I don’t like what I’m seein
And face the harsh reality…

Too many black people have no respect for their own special days at all. When Kwanzaa first came around, we have respect for it, and it was a black family coming together lighting the candles. They were learning about their culture and history. There was no shaking ass around. There was no feminine men around. It was personal for black people. I don’t celebrate kwanza but I know it was meaningful for black people. It was because they were learning about themselves in the beginning. Now black holidays are meaningless. Black people wanted to share their holidays with everyone else. It’s not personal just like our culture.
