Gulwali Stanezay wielded a bicycle D-lock as he tried to break into the property to get at a woman who had fled from him - The Mirror can now share the footage of the distressing event in North West London

This is the terrifying moment an attacker tried to smash his way into a home after he unleashed an assault on a woman in the street causing her to flee into the stranger’s property.

The woman was on Facetime with a pal when she was randomly attacked by Gulwali Stanezay on February 26. Fearing for her life, she ran into a stranger’s home to safety.

The friend managed to contact the woman’s father who then went out looking for her. He came across a man, now known to be 22-year-old Stanezay, vandalising cars. When the father approached him, Stanezay started punching him.

The Mirror previously spoke to the heroic neighbour who was on the other side of the door and provided shelter to the woman as Stanezay smashed the glass with a D-lock.

The householder, who did not want to be named, said her partner heard a commotion outside their house before seeing a woman outside their door running from a man.
