Back when I was attempting to buy land in Senegal, I was expecting to get scammed by those who were selling it.

You see, I bought into the negative stereotypes that the U.S. had put out about Africans. Looking back, it was so subtle, so consistent, I am ashamed of myself.

I was never scammed, infact, they made me such a deal, that not only was I able to buy the hectare (2.5 acres) to build a house on, I was able to buy two additional hectares.
