The nation of Islam taught me about self love, self respect, mutual respect and better eating habits. Following Christianity had me suicidal and lost. No preacher talked about anything that Minister Farrakhan talks about and I'm not Muslim, I don't read the Quran, it's just certain lectures from him made me realize that I come first because if I'm not all the way together and level headed then I can't really help my family or any friends because eventually I'll lose myself which will hurt the ones that's closet to me. You come first my brother, that's the only way you can spread your true value.
