An adult male Pileated Woodpecker (New York state's largest woodpecker) spends some time sampling the food at the feeder. He's soon joined by a diminutive Downy Woodpecker, the smallest woodpecker species in New York. It's an amazing size difference that highlights all the different ways these two species live. Despite those differences, both enjoy the food 😋
