White supremacy is takin them off
The shelves….but we have continue
To find out so there’s no point
In takin them down….some of us have
Black history books….are they goin to
Make laws to give up our scholars and
Put them in the can of fire….we’re supposed
To learn our past…if Time Machine was invented,
Black people wouldn’t be allowed to go
Cos we will find out what’s really happenin…
We would jump into historical documents of
What we witnessed…and we would come out
Of Time Machine to rise up in so much anger
That we wanna be violent towards our oppressors
Real quick…..
Am I lyin? Imagine us seein our ancestors
Being tortured by massas who envied us…
The horrors, heavy raindrops
It’s why white supremacy is tryin to hide everythin
With bunch of lies and ridiculous excuses….
With all the gaslightin….
Yet some of us ain’t fools…
They know exactly what they’re doin
They know they will always be guilty as charged
Be like, “get over it, it’s in the past.”
Though the trauma in our veins keep remindin us
And white supremacy loves to trigger our pain…
To keep it above, they want black people not to heal
Our broken heart, our broken soul as a race…
They need to have us weak and sufferin, and more importantly
Dumb….it’s why readin isn’t an option for too many of us..
Remember slaves weren’t allowed to read…
They got beaten for pickin up a book…

Black history books
Are important for us
If you wanna learn
About your own people
Create ways to search
And debunk to find a particular book
Or any articles cos they will always goin to
Be busy takin all the evidences down…
From the internet, library, and bookstore…
Some white friends will snatch the pages like a thief in the night
And replace them with Martin Luther King Jr books
The white version and the holocaust…

White supremacy is desperate…
They don’t wanna be annihilated by
The uprisin messiah…meanin us black people..
Our unity….we’re a major threat to them
And this is one of the tactics where they have to
Take all the black history books off the shelves
Of the table of displays…shut down the ebooks

Jim Crow or Willie Lynch will bring back the laws
Back into place…updated upgraded….
And the saddest part about it is that black people
Will do what they say…they be like I can’t get a black history book
Cos it’s a fine, and felony..

As I said before, white supremacy is too desperate
They’re whitewashin our black leaders away…

And you’re still tellin me there’s no such thing as racism
As race…honey you’re misinformed…
You’re ignorant

We need black history books written by black people…
We need us, not the abusers who keeps concealin the truth
As a secret….
